Trade Warriors

Dubbed "Trade Warriors" by the press, the group includes William K. Ince, Alexander Sierck, and Thomas Skilton. In addition to U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty cases, members of the group have also handled "Section 301" investigations, "safeguard" investigations under Section 201, proceedings under the U.S. Generalized System of Preferences, and classification and value issues before the U.S. Customs Service. We have extensive litigation experience before the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. International Trade Commission, U.S. Trade Representative's Office, the U.S. Court of International Trade, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

We have been retained to advise foreign governments regarding negotiation and implementation of bilateral and multilateral trade agreements with the United States. We also have experience before international bodies interpreting and applying U.S. law. Between 1989 and 1993, the Cameron LLP International Trade Practice Group represented Canadian clients in twelve of the first nineteen U.S. appeals to be brought before binational panels under the United States - Canada Free Trade Agreement. We also successfully represented Canadian clients in the first U.S. appeal to be brought before a binational panel under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
